Arrow got by well enough without bringing Thea into Olivers secret over the first two seasons, but something had to give in Season 3 once Thea got mixed up with Malcolm Merlyn and the League of Assassins in a big way. Suspension of disbelief is necessary for comic shows, but Thea not learning the truth about the Oliver-shaped vigilante with Oliver-esque scruff speaking to her in the apartment that she shared with Oliver would have stretched that suspension too far. Oliver finally telling Thea the truth is one of the best things that Arrow has done since the Season 3 premiere. As it turns out, Season 4 is much more exciting for having Thea on Team Arrow. Her dynamic with Oliver now is wonderful, and Speedy brings a unique fighting style to the team out in the field. Willa Holland is shining in her new role as somebody in on the secret, and its been great.
