Arrow: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

31. Cayden James

Cayden James' long-teased arrival finally took place in the first half of the sixth season, when he put together a villainous faction to destroy Star City. A man scorned by the death of his son, he was manipulated into thinking that the Green Arrow was responsible for it.

On paper, you would think that it could work. The only problem is that we had an expert computer hacker who could even outdo Felicity Smoak, and yet he was easily manipulated by a fraudulent image created by one of his heavies (Diaz) in bid to stage a city-wide takeover. Yeah, saying it out loud, you realise that maybe it couldn't have worked after all.

In spite of a well-developed backstory, and a strong performance from Michael Emerson, James never felt like more than an evil genius spouting cliché villainous monologues.
