3. Flash And Black Canary
The Arrow writers have confirmed that Barry Allen, aka Flash, will be making an appearance in the second season, leading up to a spin off. If Arrow is anything to go by, the Flash spin off may provide more quality viewing for fans of both comic book superheroes and fans of Arrow. As well as Flash, rumours have been circulating that Black Canary, has been cast and it isn't Laurel Lance. While they have confirmed that Caity Lotz will be joining the cast as the sister of Laurel Lance, Sara Lance who was believed to be killed on the boat. Her return is sure to cause shockwaves through Starling City, especially for the amount of times Oliver had not only convinced himself, but also the Lance family that Sara had died on the boat. While writers and executive producers have confirmed that the Flash will make cameo appearances on the CW show, in a lead up to the spin off. Flash is set to make appearances in the 8th and 9th episode of the series. However, the role of Flash who will likely lead their own series when the spin off hits screens, has not been cast according to producers, the casting of previous members have been shocks to fans, but usually turned out quiet well. On the subject of shocks, when executive producers and writers announced that Black Canary would also be making an appearance many fans, myself included, believed that Katie Cassidy was set up, after all the comic books had outlined the relationship between Laurel and Oliver as well as the relationship between Green Arrow and the Black Canary. However, the writers of the show have done brilliantly in keeping audiences on their toes, such as giving Thea Queen the nickname of "Speedy", assigned to Green Arrow's sidekick Roy Harper, who is introduced to us later in the series. The writers and producers seem to like the idea and the addition of Caity Lotz to the cast, playing Sara Lance and potentially Black Canary, though this hasn't been confirmed has done just that. With the all of this to be sorted out in the second season, both the introduction of Flash and the introduction of Sara Lance/The Black Canary, are sure to create a lot of interesting story lines and if the writers of the Arrow can handle the story line while not completely ignoring many of the characters that are loved in the show, it can improve a show that is already great.
