Harley Quinn briefly appears in the Suicide Squad episode as one of Amanda Wallers prisoners, and with Shrapnel living up to the teams name, a spot's open for everyones favourite psycho. Harley Quinn is one of the most popular characters in comic history, whose creation shares similarities with Arrows John Diggle. Like him, she was created for a television show (Batman: The Animated Series) and proved to be so popular she was brought into DCs main universe - writer Jeff Lemire recently introduced John Diggle into DCs comic universe in Green Arrow #24. Harley Quinn has gone on to play a huge role in Batmans extended media, especially in Rocksteadys Arkham video games, and baring the ill-conceived Birds of Prey series, has never been fully realised in a live action sense. Harley is currently a regular in the comic series of the Suicide Squad so it makes perfect sense for the writers to bring her into the team. Her erratic, deadly and downright bizarre character will inject an element of unpredictability (and fun) into the team and certainly boost the show's appeal. If Harley Quinn does get a more prominent role in the Suicide Squad it opens doors for a much bigger CW/DC universe.
