Arrow Season 3: 10 Things That Must Happen

4. Arrow Becomes Part of DC Cinematic Universe

There is a huge debate among fans and producers behind the much-anticipated Batman vs. Superman film on whether Arrow and Flash should be established within the upcoming DC Cinematic Universe. Many cite Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin's lack of star power as a reason they shouldn€™t be involved. However, this comes across as a weak argument when considering Christian Bale, who although an established name, was not overly well known. Then of course there's Henry Cavill, whose only role of note before donning Superman's iconic costume was as a lead supporting character in Showtime's The Tudors. After all, why does it matter if you have an actor who has established the character and is adored by fans, when names like George Clooney carry star power? It's unfair that Amell pours his heart and soul into a role, and spends his free time with fans only to be replaced because he€™s not a household name. It would be greatly disappointing for fans and the team behind the show if all their hard work goes unrewarded. Amell has done a spectacular job of bringing Green Arrow to mainstream attention. The character wasn€™t as widely known among non-comic fans, and there is no doubt that if given the opportunity, Stephen Amell (and Grant Gustin) could hang with Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck. How jaw dropping would it be if Arrow Season 3 ended with Oliver, Felicity and Diggle stood in their base, the lights go out and Michael Shannon€™s (General Zod) voice echoes €˜You Are Not Alone€™. Or Oliver is at a charity ball and Felicity grabs him and says €œOliver, there€™s someone I€™d like you to meet €“ Mr. Bruce Wayne,€ and Ben Affleck turns around. A single moment, no more than five seconds would blow fans€™ minds.
