8. Sara Lance/ White Canary
Poor, poor Sara. First assumed dead in the same shipwreck that left Oliver stranded on a desert island, her reappearance as the Black Canary played a key role in most of the second season. It wasn't to last, though. Not only was she shot through the chest multiple times, she then fell from a roof, hit a dumpster on the way down, and landed on her head at the feet of her sister Laurel. While everyone thought that there was no coming back from such a demise, Sara's presence in the advert for up-coming spin-off Legends Of Tomorrow indicates otherwise. Resurrected by the waters of a Lazarus Pit, and now taking the codename White Canary to differentiate from her sister, Sara is set to be a key member of the team. Even though she is likely to have her hands full with the other Legends, Sara has a more intimate connection with the characters of Arrow than any of her teammates, and is the most likely character from the group to make a reappearance in the parent show. In fact, with her return to the land of the living confirmed, it would be weird if Sara didn't show up at some point in the next Season of Arrow.
