Green Lantern and Green Arrow have been comrades and teammates for decades, so it's almost strange that Arrow has got this far without introducing Oliver Queen's go-to ally. While the recent Green Lantern movie was almost universally hated, the actual character has a lot of potential, particularly if Arrow is going to expand further in the next series. Some fans have theorized that John Diggle could be a reboot of Green Lantern John Stewart, the character has so-far proved himself worthy as a stand-alone character. With Oliver hitting the road at the end of Season 3, it seems likely that we'll be seeing a bit more of the world beyond the limits of Starling City. One big hint, dropped by Olliver Queen actor Stephen Amell, is that Coast City will appear. And as Coast City is traditionally the stomping ground of Hal Jordan, the second hero to use the Green Lantern persona, it seems likely that this is the character that will appear. The introduction of a Green Lantern would, of course, raise some difficult problems for the writers to solve. On the one hand, any potential origin story has the danger of feeling like a re-hash of Barry Allen's transformation into the Flash. On the other, the question of how an already established hero could be operating in another city without some mention in the last three seasons posses just as big of a hurdle.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
