Arrow Season 4: 10 Huge Things Learned From San Diego Comic-Con

1. The Season Of John Diggle

Despite his status as one of the most beloved characters of Arrow, Diggle has often been overlooked. Fortunately, the inclusion of H.I.V.E. as the major threat to the good guys in Season 4 means that the narrative won’t be able to wiggle out of featuring Digg this time around.

H.I.V.E. has been on the horizon for John Diggle ever since assassin Deadshot revealed the organization as the entity which had ordered the hit on his brother Andy. Although there’s been little reference to this particular wrinkle since first mentioned way back in the first half of Season 2, all signs point toward progress for Digg’s crusade to avenge his brother’s death.

Another complaint about the treatment of Diggle that is finally being addressed has been the absence of any sort of identity concealment for Digg. While only slightly illogical back when it was only Digg and Oliver out in the field, the recent influx of leather and domino masks among Team Arrow and Co. makes Diggle’s exposed face all the more thematically dissonant.

Fortunately, Comic-Con made a grand reveal of Diggle’s fighting ensemble for Season 4. The black leather closely enough resembles regular daywear to remain true to the practicalities of the character, and his face is finally somewhat concealed by his helmet.

Yes, helmet.

It’s better than nothing.

Probably.
