5. What Next For Ray?

Arrow's Legends of Tomorrow setup, part 2. The explosion at Palmer Tech six months ago wasn't really as shocking as it should have been, because we knew that Ray would survive and come back to join the Legends. Even when this season started with the billboard of Star City, named in his honour, it was clear to the audience that he'd be coming back. It wasn't clear, however, to Felicity, nor was it expected that Damien Darhk would be the one who has him. His return, much like Sara's, has been teased throughout Season 4, and again while you can question the necessity of it and how much time Arrow devotes to setting up Legends, there's not much doubt that it's great to have Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer back on the show, making a timely James Bond reference and complimenting Oliver on his new suit. Also like Sara, he's back five minutes before shooting off again. All this time devoted to getting them back, and they aren't even hanging around for a couple of episodes? Where does he go next that leads to him joining Legends?
