Arrow Season 4: 20 Most Shocking Moments (So Far)

1. Oliver Queen, Rest In Peace

They don€™t get much more shocking than killing off the titular character of a show€ well, forgetting the fact that the series killed off Oliver during last season€™s mid-season finale only to see him miraculously brought back from the brink after his first battle with Ra€™s al Ghul. But yeah, killing off a show€™s main character is serious business, and it was a huge shock to see Ollie bite the bullet during Season 4€™s Arrow portion of the crossover with The Flash. With the Emerald Archer and the Scarlet Speedster doing their best to put a stop to immortal, time-travelling rogue Vandal Savage, their efforts are futile and Oliver knows it. Sensing the end is near, he orders Barry to save himself. It was a mark of a wily veteran knowing that this was the end, and thus it was as we saw Oliver Queen essentially vaporised along with Felicity, Thea, Diggle, Laurel, Cisco, Caitlin and anybody else that happened to be in or around Central City. Of course, the fact that all of this was retconned thanks to Barry travelling back in time softened the blow a little, but at the time this happened it was a huge, huge shocker that nobody saw coming.
