As soon as the first episode of Season 4 transitioned from a shot of an engagement ring to a gravesite, many quickly jumped ahead and predicted that fan-favourite Felicity Smoak would be the one who Oliver is seen mourning for. That could still very well prove to be the case, but the mid-season finale saw an even more shocking happening in regards to Miss Smoak. Whilst the first episode threw up Felicity as a possibility to bite the bullet, the mid-season finale saw Olivers newly-crowned fiancé literally riddled with bullets after the limo escorting her and Ollie came under attack. Given that the two got engaged during the last 5 minutes of the mid-season finale, long-time fans of the show knew that it couldnt end on such a happy note, but it was still a jaw-dropper to see Felicity full of bullets and seemingly dying in Olivers arms. Promo work suggests that Felicity may well survive this attack, but even then shes not totally ruled out of being the one housed in the grave that Oliver will be visiting in a few months time.
