Arrow Season 4: 7 Ups And 3 Downs From 'Lost In The Flood'

1. The Flashbacks

Much like Taiana, the island flashbacks as a whole were yet again dull and dragging during Lost in the Flood.

Whilst this episode worked brilliantly as a set up episode leading into the season finale, the Lian Yu-set moments were still bland, boring and uninteresting. It’s a real shame, for Lian Yu has been the home to some of Arrow’s greatest moments, particularly when Slade Wilson has been involved.

The only thing of note that the island flashbacks of Season 4 have really done is bring us the meeting of Oliver Queen and John Constantine. Other than that, it’s just been a load of magic-based mumbo that, yes, does tie in to the modern-day antics of Damien Darhk, but ultimately isn’t entertaining or interesting in the least.

Even with a crazed Taiana and a pissed off Baron Reiter both gunning for Ollie, the Lian Yu moments of this latest episode still failed to entertain. Whether the Emerald Archer finds himself during next season’s flashbacks, let’s just hope we get something far more interesting than his latest trip back to Lian Yu.
