Arrow Season 5 Finale: Ranking The Probability Of 17 Major Character Deaths In 'Lian Yu'

8. Quentin Lance

Arrow Quentin Lance
The CW

Even on a show that has been as dark and depressing as Arrow at times, Quentin Lance has notably been through the wringer. He's lost both his daughters (through various means), his job, and had numerous struggles with addiction.

I thought Quentin was the one who was going to be in the long-teased grave last year, but even worse for him it was his daughter. Still, he manages to bounce back, this year forming a sweet bond with Thea and working for Oliver in the Mayor's office.

It's given him a renewed purpose on the show, and Paul Blackthorne is such an entertaining presence - and the show's only regular parental figure - that it'd be a shame to see him go. He is one of the people Chase has hostage though (as are most people close to Oliver), and one who doesn't possess the same level of fighting ability, so it might not end well for him.
