Arrow Season 7 Finale: 5 Ups & 3 Downs From 'You Have Saved This City'

4. Mia Becomes A Hero

When Mia Smoak first showed up on Arrow, it was clear that she had no time for vigilantes. The daughter of Oliver and Felicity, she blamed the heroic life for taking her father from her and vowed to never be like him. However, after going on a journey of self-discovery throughout the season, she finally realised just what she was capable of in the finale.

When Mia figured out that only an archer like her could finish the job that her mother had started, she risked her life by utilising her bow and arrow to scale the wall of one of the towers in order to destroy Archer. With her family pleading for her to return safely, she realised the risks of what she was about to do but, in doing so, decided that she wasn't going to allow the odds to terrify her.

With that, she detonated the bomb and used what should have been her final 60 seconds to safely escape from the tower before it exploded.

Just like her father had so many times before her, Mia descended to safety and overcame any obstacles blocking her path to success. With that, she realised that she was capable of being a hero.

Guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree, after all.
