Arrow Season 7 Finale: What Does The Ending Really Mean?

6. Emiko Is Dead - But The Ninth Circle Isn't

Arrow Beatrice Virgil
The CW

On a whole, Season 7 was rather indecisive in terms of who its Big Bad actually was. First, it was the Longbow Hunters, followed by Season 6 Big Bad Ricardo Diaz, then the illusive Dante and finally, Emiko Queen. The silver lining in all of that villain shifting, however, was the fact that all potential candidates were tied to the organization known as the Ninth Circle.

While the back half of the Ninth Circle's reign of terror revolved around destroying the Queen family's legacy, that was all part of Emiko's personal vendetta. Unfortunately for her, that didn't work out too well as she ended up dead at the hands of a new Ninth Circle player named Beatrice who, along with Virgil, didn't take too kindly to her vengeful behaviour.

As the mysterious new character managed to escape with the rest of the Circle, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that they will be back next season.

Villain shifting or not, we haven't seen the last of the Ninth Circle.
