Arrow Season 8: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

When Mar Novu wasn't busy guiding Oliver Queen in his attempts to save the multiverse from the Crisis, he spent most of the season attempting to bewilder us viewers with his unusual requests and unexpected alliances. Turns out he was merely testing Team Arrow in order to strengthen their resolve and allow them prove themselves as the heroes that the multiverse needs - and when they passed his test, he rewarded some of them with precious time with family members.

The Monitor achieved everything he set out to do, preparing Oliver for the coming Crisis and being as cosmic and powerful as ever. Though his abrupt demise in the crossover itself was a little underwhelming, it's good to know that Oliver's sacrifice brought him back (as he resurfaced through recycled footage in the finale) and that he's still out there being all cosmic and stuff.
