Arrow Series Finale Review: 12 Ups & 4 Downs From 'Fadeout'
1. A Fitting Tribute To Arrow
Oliver Queen is Arrow - both in person and in spirit. He's the vigilante that originated the name, and the leader of the self-titled show. So, while the finale may have felt a little odd without him present, it did a fantastic job of honouring his memory and everything that Arrow (both he and the show) accomplished.
Yes, much like we've mentioned multiple times throughout this review, the whole episode was built upon paying tribute to the legacy that Arrow has produced over the past eight years and there was simply no better way of doing that than by honouring its leader.
From the poignant tributes from his friends and family to the glorious statue reveal in Star City, 'Fadeout' was a reminder that Oliver did not fail his city. And, in being so, Arrow did not fail him.
It's hard to imagine a world without Arrow, but as a longtime fan, allow this writer to bid farewell to the show that inspired countless people and built a whole freakin' universe in the process. It's been one heck of a ride - one that we'll never forget.
