Arrow Series Finale Review: 12 Ups & 4 Downs From 'Fadeout'

3. It Felt A Little Rushed

Arrow Season 8 Series Finale
The CW

Okay so this one isn't really anyone's fault because the finale had to stick to the usual 40-45 minute-length of any normal TV episode, but that right there did result in some of it coming off as a little rushed.

While major events like Moira's return got the time they needed to breathe, other characters like Tommy, Quentin and Laurel only really had one or two pivotal scenes - which undercut the emotional impact of whatever it was that they were going through.

Perhaps the flashback narrative (or Mia's present-day narrative which reflected it) was a little too long, or maybe the writers just understandably tried to do as much as they possibly could with limited time, but this did unfortunately impact the pacing of the episode.
