8. A Familiar Face
An old favorite from the Evil Dead films is back in season two: Ted Raimi, who of course is brother of creator Sam Raimi.
Okay, favorite might be stretching things a little. Ted Raimi actually appeared in all three of the original Evil Dead films, playing a different role each time out (in fact, he played three separate roles in Army of Darkness alone!). None of them were particularly major parts, but horror fans know Raimi well.
Plus, the connection to the series doesn't end there. Raimi and star Bruce Campbell both appeared on Xena: Warrior Princess, alongside another Ash vs. Evil Dead regular, Lucy Lawless. The trio had a heck of a good run in the mid-90s once Xena hit it big between Hercules and her own show.
All this means that you can look forward to some excellent chemistry when he joins the series this year. According to reports, he'll be playing the role of Ash's childhood best friend. How he fits into the greater story line isn't known at this point (will this be comic relief, or something bigger?), but expect some great moments with him.
