Battle Creek: 10 Things We Already Know About Vince Gilligan's Next Masterpiece

The pace is already gathering on Vince Gilligan's project, but what's it all about?

Anyone watching the final season of Breaking Bad as it aired can probably relate to the bittersweet experience of knowing that something they love is about to end but that its creator will soon be free to let their imagination run wild once again and bring something just as special into the world. That might be overselling it a bit, but I guarantee you'd be hard pressed to find a Breaking Bad fan who isn't excited to see Vince Gilligan's new original TV project, Battle Creek, which was first announced back in September and has just added X-Men helmer Bryan Singer as the director of its pilot episode. According to Variety, the show centres on "two detectives with very different world views. As they team up, they must figure out if cynicism, guile and deception will help clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan, in the face of lack of resources or if naivete and trust will get the job done." The cynic is a local detective working for an underfunded police department, while the naive newcomer is an FBI agent with cash to splash and a spring in his step. So it's basically The Odd Couple meets Twin Peaks. Not satisfied with just that summary to keep you going until the show airs? Neither were we, so we've scoured the internet to track down all the current info we could about Battle Creek.
