Battlestar Galactica: All Human Cylon Models Ranked From Worst To Best

10. Number 4: Simon

Battlestar Galactica Cylon Simon
Universal Studios

Simon was, for the majority of the show, one of the least shown Cylon models. He was introduced as a doctor when Starbuck was, unknown to her, taken prisoner on Caprica. Simon was tasked with assessing her viability at being able to breed, culminating in him removing one of her ovaries. Though he comes across as a caring individual, she is able to see through him.

For the remainder of the show, he is somewhat in the background. He tends to agree with whatever Cavil has to say, and his story could very easily have ended with being shot in the CIC of Galactica as another pawn in the Cylons' war.

However, Rick Worthy's legacy in Battlestar Galactica was saved by The Plan. The direct-to-dvd movie that followed the ending of the show was billed as the final reveal of the Cylons' big plan, that had been teased in the opening moments of most of the episodes of the show. On that front, it was very much a disappointment.

However, one of the Simon models lived in the fleet. There, he fell in love with a human woman and became a surrogate father to her child. They found a true relationship, overriding his desire to end Humanity. However, Cavil was without mercy and ordered him to destroy the ship that he was on, killing all of the humans aboard - including his family.

Instead of going through with it, he escapes in the only way he knows how - by blasting himself out of an airlock. While the model line may have been nothing much to write home about, there was at least one heroic version of the Simons, saving lives in his final act.
