Batwoman Season 1 Review: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Rabbit Hole'

Last week, many commended Batwoman's lack of time-wasting in that the premiere episode's closing moments saw Kate discover that Alice might actually be Beth. It was a bold move, no doubt, because that moment could have served as a perfect major reveal well into the season, but it highlighted that the show was intent on shattering the superhero status quo early on.

'The Rabbit Hole' would take this multiple steps further, as Kate relayed this information to her father Jacob almost immediately before then telling everyone else. But the bomb-drops wouldn't stop there, as Sophie already began to suspect that Kate was Batwoman, while Alice (yes, Alice) successfully managed to figure it out.

While this undoubtedly made the episode a non-stop thrill-ride, those were three huge story beats that could have taken place throughout the season. Having them all happen at once could end up affecting the pacing and, more than that, risks robbing the rest of the season of some major moments.

You should know that this writer struggled with whether this should be a positive or a negative, but considering it's all happening so fast in Gotham these days, the cons of all these reveals just slightly pipped the pros to the post.

Now, for the positives...
