Better Call Saul: 10 Breaking Bad Easter Eggs You Totally Missed

8. Jimmy's Pinky Ring

From his very first guest appearance during season two of Breaking Bad, right the way through to the close of the show, Saul Goodman has a very distinct look. One of the biggest highlights of his look is the large gold ring he has on the end of his pinky finger. It's present every time he's on screen, clearly suggesting some sort of sentimental value to the character, but is never addressed or even mentioned by anyone during Breaking Bad's original run.

Better Call Saul however goes back to show audiences where exactly the ring came from, and its significance to Jimmy going forward. Following the death of Marco, Jimmy is given his old running buddy's ring at the funeral by Marco's mother. Again it's not given too much spotlight going forward, but it marks an important moment in Jimmy's development as a character.

Coinciding at time where Jimmy is having a real character crisis, by choosing to put the ring on and keeping it on his finger going forward, it becomes a symbol of his shady hustling past and a real reminder that this lawyer embraces the ethically grey parts of life and getting ahead. Even better, he's often seen messing or rubbing it whenever he's considering a particularly unethical plot.
