Better Call Saul: 10 Easter Eggs From The Pilot You Have To See
4. In An Awfully Familiar Diner
Not content with suggesting the repartition of history with those oh-so-familiar clients, the location Jimmy (or Jimmy's receptionist) suggests for meeting with the not-Whites will be familiar to audiences too. It's pretty cool that, even from the start, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are already putting in little Easter eggs for those eagle-eyed Breaking Bad fans. In this case, it's another location that's been used before. Loyola's Family Restaurant (an actual, historic real-life diner in Albuquerque that's been around since the eighties) has featured in Breaking Bad not less than four times, being a particular favourite of Jimmy McGill right on through to his Saul Goodman days. Saul wasn't the only one to eat there, however. Mike was also particularly keen on Loyola's, taking Jesse and Lydia there in seasons four and five, respectively. In Uno, meanwhile, Mike and Saul have only just got acquainted, and don't seem all that hot on each other...
