Better Call Saul: 10 Scenes From Breaking Bad That Need Expanding

9. Saul's End Time Whereabouts

Things were looking bad for everyone towards the end of Season 4 and Saul€™s fortunes were no different. With death threats hanging over Hank and Walt€™s escalating troubles with Gus, no one was safe and there were dwindling options concerning where they could run or hide. Saul is more resourceful than most and as things turned from bad to worse, Saul decided to do the reasonable thing and make like a €œfart in the wind,€ i.e. €˜get the hell out of town.€™ Walt tries to call Saul after Brock was poisoned and when this proves unsuccessful he does the next reasonable thing: he breaks his office window with a cinder block. Francesca is there and she deftly extorts $25,000 from Walt for information concerning Saul€™s whereabouts. This scene from the Season 4 finale would be a juicy morsel to expand. Walt tracks down Saul but we are never given any information on where someone like Saul Goodman might go when it has finally hit the fan. Letting fans know would be an interesting way to develop Saul€™s greater world and the connections he has while giving an outside look at a key sequence in Breaking Bad history.
