Better Call Saul: 10 Things You Need To Know

1. There's Definitely Gonna A Second Season

AMC are certainly confident about Better Call Saul. Or else they're still freaking out that Mad Men is soon to be finishing and then all they'll have is The Walking Dead, its upcoming spin-off, and then this spin-off that will make up for the loss of their other biggest hit. Whatever the reasoning, last year they announced that they'd already renewed Better Call Saul for a second season. Yep, before the first one even premiered. That's confidence for you. Or stupidity. Depends how this first season pans out. From the looks of it, though, they made the right call; early reviews are suggesting that Better Call Saul might even surpass Breaking Bad, or at least be its equal. The latter of which would still be pretty impressive. Which means that this first season, once it premiers with two episodes on Sunday (before moving to a regular time slot of Mondays), will be made of thirteen episodes in total; that'll be followed by a further thirteen episodes in 2016. Oh and if you're not in the US, they're gonna hit Netflix when each season is done. So: a lot of healthy buzz, some more laughs, the return of some fan-favourite characters, and a deeper understanding of one of Breaking Bad's characters. S'all good, man.
