The Big Bang Theory: 8 Reasons To Be Excited About Season 8

4. Sheldon Has Seen America€ Sort Of

The first episode of season eight, €˜The Locomotion Interruption€™, sees everyone€™s favourite asocial physicist stranded at a train station somewhere in Arizona, his belongings having been stolen after 45 days of travel €“ including some of his clothing. Yes, once again Sheldon Cooper is rendered trouser-free. Calling Leonard to come and pick him up from the police station, Sheldon spends the six hours attempting to assist the €˜ongoing investigation€™ into his stolen bags by lecturing the officer on duty on the life and times of Sherlock Holmes and his techniques of deductive reasoning. It turns out that Sheldon has travelled the entire country for six weeks and seen America€ but never left the train stations on his route. He€™s eaten from hotdog stands, developing a connoisseur€™s appreciation of the different varieties of tomato ketchup you can find around the USA, and solved the problem of a highly fastidious man having to constantly use public toilets by the simply procedure of taking so much Imodium that he blocked himself up€ with presumably horrifying consequences. Quite what he did about washing, or cleaning his clothes, is another story €“ and one probably best left alone.
