9. Season 5 Episode 7: Now We're Even

Following on from our honourable mention, this is definitely one of the least anticipated and obvious "bazingas" on the list: Sheldon leaping from beneath the sofa cushions Leonard's sitting on is quite a way to finish an episode. Sure, we were expecting Sheldon to get his own back on the gang for their Halloween pranks somehow, but you could hardly guess he'd do it that way! The comical sight of him shouting before calmly saying "bazinga punk, now we're even" with ripped clothes and a crazed look in his eye is worth the wait. The build up that leads Sheldon to this moment is very clever in itself, as Sheldon is usually so clever but he can't seem to get revenge on his three friends: the best is when Howard and Bernadette reverse the prank back onto him, a feat that Sheldon would surely never admit happened. Sheldon Cooper is funniest when slowly being driven crazy €“ this happens to him more easily than it does the average Joe who is less obsessive €“ and this episode is one of the best at doing that. He even looks like a Batman villain at the end.
