Big Finish Just Altered Doctor Who's Biggest Moment!

For this finale, the Warrior appears to being troubled by yet another doppelgänger, but why are they on Gallifrey?

This story combines two Tom Baker stories, the Android Invasion and the Invasion of Time. The two stories crossover by the android duplicates of the Kraals invading Gallifrey, all as a part of the Dalek's plot in this Time War.

In their original timeline, the Kraal's are not a huge threat. They're basically just a villain of the week and not considered a species to rival the Daleks, Cybermen or Sontarans. So how do they invade Gallifrey arguably so easily? Are the Time Lords weakened due to fighting this new Time War? Or is the deception of using an Android with the Warriors face simply distracting enough to blind them?

In the end it's revealed the Kraal leader Styggronis working for the Alliance and the Daleks, and even offers to fight them to end the war. However, the Warrior instead chooses vengeance, and kills him, hammering home one last time, the Doctor is no more.

This new Whoniverse is brutal. And whilst we've seen forces amass to take on Gallifrey before, it's arguably never been to this extent. So we'll see what happens in the next series.
