BoJack Horseman: Every Season Finale Ranked Worst To Best
4. What Time Is It Right Now (Season 4)
As season four came to a close, just about every main character was going through major changes in their lives. This episode signified the end of a lot of chapters, and teased the beginning of a lot of new ones.
Princess Carolyn, still reeling from the loss of Ralph and her fifth miscarriage, desperately pitched Philbert to whattimeisitrightnow.com and forged BoJack’s signature on the contract. She was completely at his mercy, as her career was over if he didn’t agree. However, he did, because over the last 23 years she’d more than earned a favour from him, and she realized she could survive even if she had to need help sometimes.
Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter, fresh off the circus that was the latter’s run for governor, tried to get back to normal but still fought. This was one of the heaviest segments of the episode, as Diane decided that she was tired of her marriage, and was struggling more and more each day to see why she was in it.
The best bit of the episode however, revolved around BoJack. Always the selfish type, and never usually one to do anything without his own self-interests at heart, BoJack was actually selfless in finding Hollyhock’s mother. For the first time in what felt like forever, he actually experienced growth as a person, and was rewarded with a relationship with his sister for it.
