BoJack Horseman: Every Season Finale Ranked Worst To Best
2. Nice While It Lasted (Season 6)
How do you follow an episode like ‘The View From Halfway Down’? The penultimate episode in the series is arguably the best episode in the entire BoJack Horseman run, and with a 9.9 rating on IMDb, one of the best TV episodes in recent memory.
The start of ‘Nice While It Lasted’ actually robbed some of its power by having BoJack survive, and it could be argued that it simply wasn’t as good a series conclusion as the previous chapter would have been. However, it was still a brilliant episode, even if falling just short of BoJack’s fake out death.
There was no real furthering of any story, outside of BoJack going to prison. Instead, this was used to wrap up his relationship with four of the most important people in his life. Mr. Peanutbutter, Todd, Princess Carolyn, and most importantly Diane.
BoJack and Diane had been through more than anyone else in the show, both individually and together, and it is only fitting that they closed out the series with a bittersweet conversation. They could still speak to each other after all this time, but as Diane alluded to, it was probably the last time they ever did.
