Breaking Bad: 10 Amazing Examples That Show Dean Norris Never Ages

9. Starship Troopers

Deannorris Paul Verhoeven€™s 1997, sci-fi classic, might have divided audiences who missed the point the film was making, but there is no denying that it has all the trademarks that make the Dutch director€™s films so unique. Watch it with the perspective Verhoeven wanted and you will see why it is one of the best films to come out of the 1990€™s. Set in the future where humans are colonizing new planets, they intrude on the planet of the Arachnids, an insect like species that soon becomes enemy number one. Queue lots of fascist imagery and ambiguous storytelling that questions who really is the bad guy. Paul Verhoeven said that Starship Troopers is a film that is;
€˜€™€playing with fascism or fascist imagery to point out certain aspects of American society... of course, the movie is about 'let€™s all go to war and let's all die.€™€™
The film also featured Dean Norris in another authority role. Playing a commanding officer in charge of training the new recruits, he gives John Rico (Casper Van Dien) a dressing down for ordering another recruit to remove his helmet during a live round, training exercise. If anything, it shows that Dean Norris has a face that is perfect for the military.
