8. Jesse And Walt Tear The House Apart - Whitey, 'Stay On The Outside'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rj1pgsscjso Whitey's 'Stay On The Outside' is a completely different choice to soundtrack a scene, this time a moment in Season 5 when Jesse and Walt search Jesse's house. It's not so much dreamy and bucolic as distorted and paranoid. It sounds messy in production, and as Walt and Jesse tear the house apart in search of the ricin, the track seems to quicken and build with Jesse's frustration. What's also fantastic is that the song sounds so identikit-built; every instrument is clear and obvious, just like unflashy decor of the house. It sounds like you could so easily find all the components that made this song in Jesse's house. That's without mentioning how incredibly well the tone of Whitey's voice matches Aaron Paul's. It's amazing, it actually sounds like it was a track written for that scene.
