Breaking Bad: 10 Reasons Why It’s The Best Show in T.V History

1. Bryan Cranston

All hail the king. I€™ve always liked Bryan Cranston, ever since I saw him as Hal in Malcolm in the middle, clearly one of the best characters in that show. And initially when you start watching Breaking Bad you might think €œlolz, look at Hal from Malcolm in the Middle in his underpants€. But I guarantee you that that was the last time his previous comedic T.V role entered your mind. For his tenure on Breaking Bad, Cranston has won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series no less than three consecutive times putting him in a group of 6, along with the likes of James Gandolfini, Bill Cosby and James Spader. If you€™ve watched Breaking Bad (and I€™m assuming you have) then it€™s abundantly clear as to why. He has an ability to be a completely convincing unassuming goofball one moment, and then become Heisenberg the next; a marauding, almost sociopathic madman who€™s willing to kill to preserve his life and his empire. Chops like that are normally displayed by the most respected cinematic actors, and after Breaking Bad, I€™d be very surprised if we didn€™t see Cranston go on to win an Oscar down the road. Make no mistake, at the centre of everything is Bryan Cranston. If they didn€™t cast Walt exactly right, there€™s every chance the show would have fallen on its arse, but fortunately, they did. Can you think of a better T.V character than Walter White, or a better dramatic performance from a T.V actor for that matter? I certainly can€™t. So there it is, ten reasons why, if you€™re not, you should be selling your eye teeth to get at this show immediately. Go on, you won€™t regret it, I promise. Anything to add? Do let us know. Breaking Bad Season 4 DVD is released on October 1st.
