Breaking Bad: 10 Reasons Why It’s The Best Show in T.V History

3. Dean Norris

I have to admit, I wasn€™t a huge fan of Hank Schrader, Walter White€™s D.E.A brother in law, at first, probably even throughout the entire first season. But Breaking Bad takes the time to establish him, to develop him. At first I thought he was vaguely hammy, a by-product maybe of being the bumhole faced psychic Martian in Total Recall. But that was a ruse it appeared, as, true to form, underneath that wise-cracking exterior he slowly revealed as flawed and obsessive a heart as any of the other characters. Hank€™s storyline€™s have been awesome, almost as awesome as even Walter€™s and Jessie€™s; I know he€™s technically an antagonist to the two protagonists, but he€™s also a supporting character in Walter€™s personal life story-arc and he€™s even the hero in his own story €“ the one which saw him shot and paralysed by The Cousins, but ultimately victorious. Now, Hank€™s scenes are as anticipated in my house as even those primarily featuring Walter and Jessie, thanks in no small part to a surprisingly deep and thought provoking performance from an actor I didn€™t initially rate.
