Breaking Bad: 25 Greatest Moments

3. Walter Vs. Skyler

OzymandiasAs Seen In: Season 5 Episode 14: "Ozymandias" The sequence featuring the utter collapse of the White family is perhaps the greatest in the entire series. Walt has lost $70 million, has given Jesse to the Nazis and witnessed the death of his brother-in-law, and is now clinging to the only thing he has left: his family. Little does he know that they are well aware of his arrest, and hesitate when he begs them to pack up and leave. All of the family drama throughout the show was leading to this moment, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Skyler pulls a knife on Walt, stepping between him and her son. She lashes out at him, which causes him to attack her. They wrestle each other to the ground, and once Walt turns the tide and begins attacking Skyler, Flynn throws his crutches aside and saves her, which is undeniably his best moment in the entire show. He puts his arm up to protect her before calling the police, and Walt is forced to see what he's done to the people he loves. In a moment of pure heartache and despair, he looks upon their frightened faces and knows that it's all over. Which only makes him try one last thing in a desperate attempt to cling on to something: Holly. The acting in the sequence is incredible, and the music that creeps in once Walt grabs Holly is breathtakingly creepy. It's not only one of the best Breaking Bad scenes, but one of the best television scenes of all time.
