1. Walter Is Killed By Someone Close To Him

Here we are. We have arrived at the last of our 5 possible endings to this epic series which also happens to be my personal pick for most likely ending. Let's face the facts Walter White isn't exactly someone you can call a "good guy" nowadays and during his transformation from high school chemistry teacher to meth kingpin he has done wrong by many people who are closely tied to him. When looking back at the flash forward from the opening episode of season 5 and seeing the type of weaponry Walter has just purchased it's very safe to say something big will go down at the end of this show. Breaking Bad will not go quietly into the night it has made it's mark on television history forever and it will go out with guns blazing (lame pun definitely intended). Breaking Bad seems to operate on somewhat of a karmic loop where actions almost always have a reaction and the central characters must pay for their sins. Under this mentality when you think about it Walter really hasn't paid for his sins the way most have which means he has a world of shit coming his way. The list of people who would both want to and have good reason to kill Walter goes on and on. Jesse Pinkman who is Walter's long time business partner and trusted colleague has more reason to kill Walter than almost anyone and he doesn't even know it! At this point one just has to imagine a scenario where Jesse finds out that Walter really was the one that poisoned Brock or that Mike didn't ride off into the sunset he was infact murdered by Walter himself. Could you imagine Jesse's reaction? After all the things Mr. White has manipulted Jesse into doing and he has still stuck by his side for better or worse one has to assume finding out the truth about either Brock or Mike could cause Jesse to snap. There are eight episodes left. Is Walter really out of the meth business for good? What if he goes for one more run? The reaction from Skyler if he were to do so would definitely not be a positive one. She has already stated in the past at one point she was just waiting for him to die. What if she speeds up the process herself? Walter's latest protege Todd recently took a few lessons about making meth straight from the master himself. Could he want to knock Walter off in order to steal his formula? What if the noose around Lydia's neck gets tight again and she needs to eliminate Walter for personal gain? What is Saul just gets sick of all the drama and hires someone to off Mr. White? What if Walter ends up in a violent stand off with Hank? When looking at the scenarios of who would want Walter dead the possibilities are endless. One thing is for sure and that is Walter didn't purchase the gun from the flash forward for recreational use. Walter White is once again in over his head and either he is going after someone or someone is coming after him. I mentioned in the first slide that a happy ending seems highly unlikely and I stand by that sentiment. The transformation of Walter White has been one of the most unique character arcs in television history and whether it would satisfy you as a viewer or not you have to agree that seeing him go out in a blaze of glory would be very appropriate. I personally can't wait to see what Breaking Bad has in store for us as this is one ending that promises to be epic. It will be sad to see the show go and will no doubt leave a huge hole in it's place. It is nice to see a show with enough sense not to drag it on longer than it needs to go and where it's at right now feels like the perfect spot to end it. In any case thanks for reading feel free to comment, blast me, or jump in with your own scenario that maybe wasn't mentioned in this list!
