3. Walter Will Die of Cancer
Hmmm... What started as the most likely way to end the show perhaps isn't that likely anymore. Originally I thought that this was for sure how Walter would meet his fate, but if Walter simply dies of illness at the end of the series it won't be the most epic way to end the series, and seeing Walter with all his hair and buying a machine gun in the future, a year after the events of the first half of season 5, it doesn't look as though he has the disease... but you never know? However, I am pretty sure the Season 5 part 2 opening will start exactly where is left off, with Hank finding out that Walter White is in fact Heisenberg, and I imagine the scene we saw at the beginning of Season 5 is most likely the opening scene for the shows finale episode. I can't see the show skipping through a year in just a couple of episodes, and bare in mind there are only 8 episodes of the show left. :( It's pretty safe to assume that this probably won't happen, although Walter could easily be diagnosed again, and will fight back at the end of the show because he knows that he will soon die whatever he does. If this is the case though, it would be a lot more likely that Walter would probably turn himself in, or flee, instead of fight back. From a writer's point of view, any piece of fiction likes a good bit of symmetry and it is a very popular technique in novels, films and TV (even music) to end something in a similar way to how you began something. Off the top of my head consider the TV show Lost ending with Jack dying in the same spot as he woke up in from the pilot episode, and Buffy's finale episode used a few moments of dialogue taken from the shows pilot as well (Giles walks away from Buffy, Willow and Xander and says "The Earth is Doomed" in both). So because the show started off with Walter White finding out he has cancer, it isn't a stupid bet to make that the show will end with Walter White finding out he has cancer again. Still, I wouldn't put my money on it.
