Breaking Bad: 9 Poor Story Choices

1. Todd And Lydia Bring Little To The Story

Following the deaths of Fring and Mike, the writers had to draft in a new threat for the final stroke of episodes. Step in Todd and Lydia, both of whom were terrible characters. Lydia grated the moment she appeared on screens. Todd meanwhile showed a little promise; his dark streak was teased for a few episodes until he brutally slaughtered a young boy. But after this streak of evil Todd failed to do anything at all. It is Todd€™s uncle Jack who poses a formidable threat. This begs the question why involve them at all? Admittedly Todd was required to bring in Jack, but Lydia was completely unnecessary. Her pandering to Walt was fruitful in the opening episodes because their plans were scuppered. Once Jack was introduced Todd and Lydia both should have been offed; this would have allowed the finale to spend more time with the characters viewers had come to know and love rather than dealing with the additions.
