Mike Ehrmantraut was a beloved character with much promise. Sadly he wasn't utilised efficiently until the final season, and barely eight episodes later he had been murdered and dissolved. This, for many, was Walts worst crime. Mike spoke with an honesty many failed to acquire in the world of Breaking Bad; he was stoically determined to flee the criminal world until Walt sucked him right back in. There is so much that Mike could have brought to the final bout of episodes, but sadly none of that came to fruition. That said, Mikes death was necessary. In killing Mike viewers finally began to realise how far Walt had come and it showed that there was no going back for him. This was the proverbial nail in his coffin. After Walt killed Mike, many stopped caring for Walt.
