Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

9. Charles "Chuck" McGill

Breaking Bad Saul Goodman Bob Odenkirk
AMC

Better Call Saul introduced countless great characters, the most unique and quietly tragic of whom is surely Charles "Chuck" McGill, the brother of pre-Saul lawyer Jimmy McGill and a self-diagnosed sufferer of electromagnetic hypersensitivity.

Agoraphobic and easily flustered, Chuck is, despite his circumstances, a brilliant lawyer and businessman, hardworking and strong but struck down in his prime by a rare condition few in his circle take too seriously.

The best aspect of his character, though, comes from his relationship with Jimmy, a man he clearly loves but refuses to trust or encourage, even going as far as to try and sabotage his career. Chuck was a tragic soul, often easy to dislike but frequently heartbreaking, and he made Better Call Saul soar whenever he was around.
