Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
8. Skyler White
Skyler White never received the credit she was due from audiences back when Breaking Bad aired, mainly because she was painted as the biggest obstacle facing Walt and his rise to power, which everyone wanted to see.
As time has gone on, though, it's become very clear just how remarkable a character Skyler really was: Loving, ambitious, cornered, and emotionally conflicted, her development from caring wife to manipulative schemer often rivalled that of her villainous husband, thanks in large part to Anna Gunn's wrenching performance.
Granted, she may have been kept out of the loop for a while, but her influence on Breaking Bad and Walt's downfall cannot be overstated. The best characters in the series are often the most heartbreaking, and Skyler has tragedy and depth in spades.
