Breaking Bad’s 8 Biggest “Holy S--t!” Moments Thus Far

8. The Plane Crash (Season Two, Episode Thirteen)

plane No one saw this coming. How could they? Season two opened each episode with ominous black and white scenes of something terrible having happened at the White household. Tuco? Had the cartel traveled into northern territory to exact some sort of terrible plot against the mysterious Heisenberg? What was this all about? As the season progressed, and Walt became further entrenched in the on goings of Albuquerque€™s meth trade, the black and white intros to each episode built up tension to an almost unbearable level. Debris all over the yard, that charred pink teddy bear floating in the pool, and then the shot of two body bags in the front yard. Just what the Hell happened?! Then as the season neared its end the pieces started to fall into place. Well, not really until the season finale when it was revealed Jane€™s father was an air traffic controller. Not only that, but he had stubbornly shortened his leave from work after his daughter€™s death, and returned distracted and grief stricken. Now, if this is where you predicted that the catastrophe that had been alluded to all season long was a plane crash that€™s believable, but predicted it outright from the season premiere? If you had even suggested that, €œOh I bet it€™s a plane crash, and it€™s just random debris scattered in Walt€™s yard€, you probably would have been met with a large degree of skepticism and disregard.
