Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode

3. David Santiago

Brooklyn Nine Nine Jess New Girl
NBC

Ever since the first episode of the show, Amy Santiago has been uptight, meticulous, and anal about every little detail in her life, both personally and professionally, but it's not until season six's The Golden Child that we truly realise why. The competition she faced at home from her brother, David.

Played by Lin-Manuel Miranda, David, the titular golden child, is invited to dinner with Jake, Amy, and her Mom. Though she loves six of her seven brothers, Amy has never gotten on with David, and it's no secret as to why. Mr and Mrs Santiago arrange their children's photos in their house by who makes them the most proud, and David's is always top on the mantle.

The new lieutenant hilariously, and smugly, one ups Amy at every single turn, until he's arrested for possession of cocaine. Amy couldn't have been happier about David having a flaw, but when he tells her he was framed by the Brazilian mafia, she and Jake eventually help him.

The best part of the episode is the incredible Santiago-esque dance off between Amy and David. Jake's wife has never been a good dancer, but against her own brother she would have had a shot of winning before a death drop gone wrong.
