Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 10 Worst Characters Who Appeared After Season 1
6. Roger Peralta
Why is it that the vast majority of TV fathers from US sitcoms seem to be impudent, uncaring contemptible A-holes? Well, whatever the answer to that much asked question, a new question altogether has been presented with this excuse for a father.
Why is it that Roger Peralta had to be such a horrendous character with absolutely zero redeeming qualities throughout seven seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine? Honestly, Heihachi Mishima, Goku, Darth Vader and Jack Torrance would win a father of the year award over this guy.
Not only did he repeatedly cheat on his mother and create a massive spawn of estranged offspring for his son to ponder about, he left him a multitude of times when he was nothing but a young boy wondering where his dad was. Even as an adult, the POS (which doesn't stand for Pilot on Standby), still can't find time to go for a single beer with his son.
Obviously, any sort of sitcom comes with its sad moments as it's a cohesively implemented part of any good story. In the case of Roger Peralta, though, his appearances are immediately synonymous with misery, and watching his son try to pursue the relationship rather it than it being the other way around. It's just depressing.
