Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 10 Worst Characters Who Appeared After Season 1

3. Kate Peralta

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Kate Peralta
Fox

Yet another character that brought nothing to the table, but stole the bread instead, Kate Peralta should've been averted and deserted in the writer's room without anyone ever bringing her name up once again. If you didn't already hate Jake Peralta's family, then you definitely will after witnessing how awful of a person his estranged sister is.

In her only appearance, she manages to basically commit every crime and transgression that society has ever conjured. She steals, she takes drugs, her promiscuity is almost a personality trait within itself, and she has an abusive boyfriend that she reluctantly takes back despite being clearly in distress and too deep with him. She's essentially the opposite of what you would want in any person you'd ever meet in life.

This would all be bad enough, but her intrinsic link to her diametrically moral opposed brother - who just so happens to be a cop in a high rank - is a real deal breaker for their relationship. It's just kind of sad to watch a character like Jake, who's been given enough hardship by his family, to have high hopes and expectations for the one he just met.

Who just so happens to be the most rotten apple on the tree.
