Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)

5. Season Six

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
NBC

Season six starts with Jake and Amy enjoying their much-deserved honeymoon (with a disgruntled Captain Holt in tow) and the 99th Precinct going to war against the new Commissioner, John Kelly.

Though marginally shorter than previous seasons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sixth installment starts strong and keeps the momentum up all the way through.

What allows season six to flourish is its daring. For one, there's the striking and timely MeToo-inspired He Said, She Said, which shows Jake and Amy taking on a tricky sexual harassment case, and later on there's Casecation, which sees the beloved couple struggle with their differing views of the future.

Like the best Brooklyn Nine-Nine seasons, season six works as a perfect balance between the humour and drama of the show, and though it's let down by the departure of Gina and what might just be the worst episode of the series - Hitchcock and Scully - it's still a rollicking good ride.

Plus, Terry wins the Heist, and it's a sight to behold.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
