Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)

3. Season Three

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
NBC

Brooklyn Nine-Nine often starts with a multi-episode narrative, and in the third season they encounter their most personal struggle yet. With Holt promoted and pushed out of the 99 by Madeline Wuntch, the precinct are faced with two new captains, one of whom is an over-the-top workaholic, the other being everyone's favourite creep, The Vulture.

Having the precinct take on Bill Hader and then clash with the "full douche" that is The Vulture made for a fantastic start to the season, and the rest of the episodes didn't disappoint.

Along the way, Jake and Holt get the mumps, Terry has another baby (in typically hectic 99 fashion), Jake and Amy officially give their relationship a shot, Adrian Pimento makes his hysterical debut, and Jake, Charles and Gina get a chance to live their own version of Die Hard.

There are a couple bumps, including the slightly tactless episode The Swedes and a bizarre - if occasionally funny - subplot that sees Terry getting bullied with kittens, but all told season three is a gem through-and-through, and cemented Brooklyn Nine-Nine as one of the generation's best sitcoms.
