Buffy’s challenge is particularly grim. Devoid of her supernatural strength and endurance, she has to venture into a creepy house and defeat Zachary Kralik, a serial killer and vampire who enjoys butchering women.

Without question, Kralik is one of the scariest monsters in the show. Everything from his intimidating size to his sadistic dialogue is creepy. He relishes the chase as he pursues Buffy through the house, and he would have easily beaten her if it wasn’t for his reoccurring headaches.

He’s also given a decent amount of backstory too. Having been abused by his mother as a child, Kralik took revenge by murdering her and eating the body. It’s a disturbing piece of information, but it makes Kralik even more terrifying.
