Sticking with season three, and the series premiere episode Anne.

Buffy has left Sunnydale behind, running away from the traumatic events at the end of season two; sending her boyfriend to a hell dimension, and her mother kicking her out of the house to name just a couple. It's no surprise that Buffy is lost, broken, and has forgotten who she is. But the life of a Slayer is one you can't escape.

After befriending a young woman named Lily, Buffy helps her find out what happened to her boyfriend Ricky, who turned up dead and seriously aged. This leads her to a pastor named Ken, who is the culprit behind Ricky's death. He has been sending vulnerable people through a portal to hell. A portal Buffy willingly jumps through to save Lily.

Inside Buffy is confronted by one of the demons running the operation, he simply asks her what her name is. Any answers other than "No one" will lead to a swift execution. Yet Buffy responds with, "I'm Buffy the vampire slayer and you are?"

This leads to an all-out massacre of the demon forces at the hands of Miss Summers. It's so satisfying watching Buffy remember who she is, what she is capable of, that she is the most powerful force on this earth and she will kick your evil scrawny demon butt to hell. Bad to the ass.
